Towards Darkness was shot in twenty three days in the slums and jungles of Panama in the wet hot month of July. This film addresses the complex problem of kidnapping in Colombia and tells a real story. The writer and director, Antonio Negret had three different people in his extended family kidnapped. One did not make it back alive. The small and diverse crew came together on this difficult shoot and created a remarkable film. I feel quite fortunate to have been the Production Designer on this project.
